Why Men Wear G-Strings
Men are among the fashion market that drives trends and it’s easy to see with the expansive vista’s of men in designer underwear and more recently thongs and g-strings. This is an underwear style that is no longer just for women and is becoming an increasingly popular men’s underwear item.
Many men agree that a men’s g-string gives a sense of support without confining and is an excellent alternative to the boxer or brief underwear styles. With the increase in popularity has come all manner of styles, fabrics and cuts within the g-string range, some very simple and others a little more extreme in nature and make up for approximately 5-7% of all underwear sales today. When you keep in mind that hundreds of thousands of pairs of underwear are sold per day that is a very large portion of the market.
So why are men in epic numbers now wearing g-strings? Firstly the stigma has dissipated that only gay men wear thongs, initially this was partly true but with the embrace of male grooming and metrosexual culture this is no longer the case. While heterosexual men now have wardrobes rivalling that of women they needed more options for the right underwear for those slimmer jeans and low rise pants something that would culminate and mesh nicely with the fashion of today.
Whilst men’s g-strings are not for every man they do certainly have their benefits and enhancing features such as contoured front pouches that are designed to lift and protrude your assets making for a bigger bulge or barely there fabrics that are soft and comfortable and feel as though you are wearing next to nothing whilst still providing the support you need.
Joe Snyder is one such designer that has truly adopted this trend and created many amazing designs for men that are truly sexy and flattering and designed to enhance your best assets.
